FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions about the Ambassador Program
Do I need to have a lot of followers to apply?
No. The size of your community is not our only criterion.
We pay particular attention to the quality of your content, your creativity, your authenticity, and how well your world aligns with BOTAN.
A smaller, more intimate community combined with beautiful, high-quality content can absolutely catch our attention.
What is the difference between a BOTAN Ambassador and a UGC Creator?
The BOTAN Ambassador program is for those who enjoy creating, sharing their discoveries, and introducing their community to products they love.
The UGC Creator program is designed for creators who work professionally in content creation and can invoice for their services.
I’m new to content creation. Can I apply?
Yes.
We also love discovering new talent. Your profile simply needs to give us a sense of your world, your creative sensibility, and the way you create.
How does the Ambassador application process work?
You’ll start by answering 15 simple questions to check whether your profile matches what we’re looking for.
With at least 10 YES answers out of 15, you’ll be able to continue your application and introduce us to your world, your social media channels, and some of your creations.
Our team will then review your profile.
How does the UGC Creator application process work?
The UGC program includes a questionnaire to help us better understand your experience, your equipment, and the way you work.
You can then share your social media channels and portfolio with us.
To join this program, you must be able to legally invoice for your content creation services.
What types of content might I be asked to create?
Every collaboration is different.
Depending on your profile and the assignment: photography, UGC videos, Reels, TikToks, Stories, routines, demonstrations, tutorials, or before-and-after content.
The products, expected content, relevant social media platforms, and deadlines are specified before each assignment.
Does BOTAN send the products?
Yes, when an assignment requires one or more BOTAN products, they can be sent directly to you.
You will know which products are involved and what content is expected before accepting the assignment.
Are collaborations paid?
It depends on the type of collaboration.
Some assignments offered to our UGC Creators are paid, with compensation agreed upon before the work begins.
Other collaborations may involve product gifting or be part of the BOTAN Ambassador program.
Is there an affiliate program?
Yes. Depending on your profile, BOTAN may invite you to join its affiliate program.
You will then receive a personal link or code that allows us to track sales generated through your recommendations and enables you to earn the commissions offered by the program.
Do I have to publish the content on my social media channels?
No.
Some UGC content is created exclusively for BOTAN.
When publication on your own Instagram, TikTok, or another social media account is required, this will be specified before the collaboration begins.
How does BOTAN review my profile?
After you apply, our team may contact you directly through one of the social media accounts you provided.
This step simply allows us to confirm that the account and content you submitted genuinely belong to you.
Remember to check your message requests after submitting your application.
What happens if my application is accepted?
Welcome to BOTAN.
Depending on your profile, you may join our program and receive collaboration or project opportunities tailored to your creative world.
For each project, you’ll receive clear information about the products involved, the content expected, any social media platform where publication is required, and the deadline.
The goal is not to pursue as many collaborations as possible, but to build meaningful, long-term creative relationships that make sense for both you and BOTAN.
